What is the best way to clean my carpets?
There are numerous ways to clean carpets, it all depends on what type of carpet is needing to be cleaned. There are methods such as "truck mounted hot water extraction" which is also called steam cleaning and carpet manufacturers recommend this as it is the least dangerous to your carpet and to the fabrics. You can also use carpet shampooing which has been around for the longest, and it is used to clean very heavily soiled carpets such as those in commercial spaces or where they have been neglected for long .s of time. There is also foam encapsulation which uses a synthetic detergent which crystallizes into a powder when drying to loosen dirt and debris, this method also uses less water. Another common method is a bonnet cleaning which is more of a surface clean for heavy traffic areas it uses a motorized brush which spins in a circular motion to pick up dirt easily. This is more common in hotels rooms an office spaces as it is more of a quick fix rather than a deep clean
How much does it cost to get my carpets cleaned?
Carpet cleaning costs vary from job to job and location location to location. There is a minimum fee of $100 for loading, setting up, cleaning and breaking down the equipment at the end of the job. So it is in your best interest to get as much cleaning done as possible since it is only an additional $25 - $60 per room after that.
Will all the stains come out?
Not all stains will come out unfortunately, as all stains are different. Some things are extremely difficult and sometimes impossible to completely remove such as wine stains that have sat too long but we always give it the old College try to put our machines to the test and see if we can make it happen. We have been able to remove a lot of stubborn stain with creative thinking and using good old-fashioned elbow grease to get the job done.
Will cleaning get rid of pet stains and odors?
The process we use when cleaning carpets will get rid of most but not all odors. There will be a noticeable difference in the smell Upper Room which just got its carpets cleaned. The air will smell fresher, cleaner are there is less allergens floating in the carpet and in the air. Pet stains are very stubborn and can linger for a long period of time but can be knocked out with a strong deodorizer. One noticeable difference many customers tell us is how easy it is to breathe in a room with carpets that just have been cleaned.
Why do I even need my carpets cleaned?
Just like anything else a routine cleaning will extend the life of your carpet. Just as it is with washing your clothing cleaning your car or just keeping your house clean in general you will see a longer life and you can also be more proud of your carpet. Many manufacturers require consistent cleaning in order for their claims of robustness and Longevity to be met in there warranties. If you skip the cleaning the carpet is susceptible to holding in more allergens such as dander and pollen making it even harder to breathe in the room and causing allergies to act up. Not only will carpet cleaning keep your carpet fresh and remove allergens it will also restore the color off your carpet as well.
How often should I clean my carpets
The answer to this question is, it depends. There are many households with many children and many pets going through high traffic areas meaning of those carpets and Floors need to be cleaned more often. There are also homes with smokers and places such as airbnb's which also get a lot of foot traffic. How long does it take for my carpet or furniture to dry?
On average it takes about four to five hours for furniture to be completely dry after a cleaning but it can be even longer on very humid days. When it comes to walking on your carpet you cannot begin stepping on the fibers as soon as we are packed up and out of the door but we recommended to reduce the traffic for 24 hours or until your carpet is completely dry. On other surfaces such as hardwood and linoleum be careful when it is wet as it can be a slip and fall hazard, especially to children and the elderly.
